Last-minute inspiration to use up leftovers before leaving my kitchen for the week…goes horribly wrong.
I didn’t cook the orzo with enough chicken broth and consequently ended up with semi-cooked pasta. Add in pine nuts to the mix and the crunchiness is enhanced! Crunchy pasta is not tasty…

where can i buy a tri colored orzo where oh where ???
Girl, that pic looks great. I wish I could taste it. Couldn’t you have simmered the orzo a little longer by adding water if you were out of chicken broth?
Absolutely agreed. I should have added a little more chicken broth and simmered it longer. I was a fairly new cook at the time so improvising from the recipe was not a skill I possessed ;)
